Campaigns Champion

We are introducing our Campaigns Champion volunteer role in 2019 to build momentum for change for people living with MND.

Campaigns Champions will raise awareness and understanding of the issues people living with MND face every day. Their conversations with community groups, local, State and Federal Members of Parliament will help influence recognition and support available for people living with MND.

The Campaigns Champion role suits people who like to engage with others and is perfect for people who seek a volunteer role which is flexible and dynamic. If you have a couple of hours a week to make a difference, this role could be for you.

Full training and ongoing support will be offered to Campaigns Champions as well as opportunities to connect with other volunteers and to share and learn from each other’s experiences and successes. Massage Volunteers - Melbourne (Northern Suburbs) and Seymour

Massaging hand

Many clients living with MND appreciate receiving a regular hand or foot massage. The massage can assist with relaxation and comfort. MND Victoria regularly has a number of clients who would like to receive a hand or foot massage and who we are seeking to match with a massage volunteer.

Massage volunteers are not required or expected to come with skills in massage. MND Victoria provides training and resources to prepare volunteers for this role. Volunteers are then matched with a client in their local area and may provide weekly, fortnightly or monthly hand and /or foot massage based on their availability.

Relief Reception Volunteer

Our volunteer receptionists are the frontline at our Canterbury office. Reception volunteers answer personal and phone enquiries, assist with mail, merchandise and projects as they arise. This role suits people who are interested in learning lots about MND Victoria and in using or developing their office and administration skills.

We currently have two regular afternoon shifts available. Afternoon shifts are from 12.30 to 4.00pm.
