Went to a medical appointment recently at our local medical centre in Emerald, Vic, in my Frontier Tilt in Space wheelchair supplied by MND Vic which I’m extremely grateful for as well as other much needed aids. The medical centre is about 1-1/2 kilometres from home.
The entrance to the medical centre is via the car park bordered by a fenced playground / sports field for the local primary school.
On my way out after the appointment in my motorised wheelchair through the car park a little boy about 5 or 6 ran around 20 metres across the playground, jumped on the fence and in a very polite voice said “How are you mister?” to which I replied “Good buddy, how are you?”. Again, in a very polite voice he replied “How come you don’t drive a real car?”.
Couldn’t stop laughing all the way home. 😂😂
